Job summary

Desert Sage Health Centers is seeking a patient registration specialist to efficiently greet patients, collect demographic and insurance data, and manage check-in processes at three health center locations.

The role supports scheduling, HIPAA compliance, and payment collection while maintaining confidentiality and excellent patient service. Training is provided, with opportunities to contribute to a welcoming clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; six months clinical experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with patient check-in and data entry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and direct to appropriate areas.
• Check-in patients and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Explain forms including HIPAA notice, sliding scale, and ABN concepts.
• Collect payments and ABN for non-covered services.
• Rotate between three health center locations as needed.
