Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the friendly face at the front desk of our Columbia, TN clinic. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect copays, and prep daily clinics in a fast-paced setting.

This on-site, full-time role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a professional demeanor. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Focus on patient satisfaction; responds promptly with empathy to meet needs.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teammates to create a cohesive team.
• Verify patient demographics on arrival and update insurance details.
• Collect copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and balances.
• Scan insurance cards and drivers licenses; enter referrals.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and prepare daily clinics.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and patient focus to make each encounter as positive as possible.
• Work closely with clinical colleagues and administrative teammates to develop a cohesive, high performing team.
• Verify patient demographic information upon arrival and update insurance details as appropriate.
• Scan insurance cards and drivers licenses; enter referrals into the computer.
• Collect copayments, coinsurances, deductibles, and balances.
• Prep daily clinics for upcoming appointments and print related documents.
• Create a record of the appointment or encounter and print.
• Ensure that all documentation is entered accurately and swiftly.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary
