Bluetree Eyecare in Sparks, NV is seeking a dependable Front Desk Associate to join our optical team. The role focuses on friendly patient check-in, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing support in a busy eye care environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in front desk roles, comfortable with vision insurance portals, and strong communication. The position offers a 3–4 day schedule from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of front desk or customer service experience (optometry/optical or medical front office preferred).
• Familiarity with vision insurance portals (VSP, EyeMed) is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Warm welcome and check-in for arriving patients; manage intake paperwork and guide patients through visits.
• Answer multi-line phones, assist with scheduling eye exams, and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Verify vision and medical insurance coverage and submit claims.
• Assist with optical administrative tasks: notify patients of orders, collect co-pays, and process check-outs.
• Maintain accurate EMR and coordinate daily patient flow with technicians and doctor.
