Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a friendly receptionist to support front desk operations. You will answer calls, route messages in Epic, welcome visitors, and assist with scheduling and registration in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include processing payments, managing co-pays, maintaining lobby areas, and safeguarding patient privacy. A high school diploma and prior reception experience are preferred, with basic Epic knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls and determine caller purpose.
• Route Epic Messages to nursing/provider staff as appropriate.
• Welcome on-site visitors and announce them to the correct personnel.
• Receive, sort, and route mail; maintain office supplies and equipment.
• Assist with EMR registration, check-in, and patient demographics loading in Epic.
• Process payments and post self-pay obligations in Epic, including co-pays.
