Job summary

Humana’s CenterWell Senior Primary Care is hiring a Front Office healthcare support specialist to ensure a safe, accurate, and welcoming patient experience from pre-arrival through checkout. You will verify identity, manage the “front door” flow, and secure payments at the point of service in a busy clinic.

The role emphasizes data quality, empathy, and collaboration across teams, with a 40-hour work week and a bonus incentive plan based on performance and company results.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer literacy and scheduling systems.
• Ability to protect patient identity and PHI.
• Experience maintaining accurate and complete records across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Preparation: Review the schedule 24-48 hours in advance to identify missing documentation, expired authorisations, or insurance gaps.
• Digital-First Intake: Facilitate patient check-in via digital tools, ensuring all demographics, consents, and patient-ready signals are completed accurately.
• Queue & Wait-Time Management: Monitor waiting room and EMR task queues; communicate delays to patients and staff.
• Point-of-Service (POS) Collections: Discuss financial responsibility with patients and process payments with daily drawer reconciliation.
• Exit & Outreach: Schedule follow-ups and manage outreach for no-shows or preventive care appointments.
