Job summary

Hampton Inn in Deadwood, SD is seeking an entry-level front desk associate to check guests in and out, issue keys, and assist with guest information. You will work within LIV Hospitality’s supportive team culture and benefit from growth opportunities and exclusive discounts.

The role includes graveyard shifts, daily pay options, and access to hotel discounts, dining deals, and partner perks. A positive, customer-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management system(s).
• Strong communication and listening skills for interacting with guests and staff.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out of the hotel.
• Issue room keys and distribute pamphlets and discount cards as needed.
• Provide information to guests about hotel services and local attractions.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety of guests and front desk communications.
• Balance daily reports and post charges promptly.
• Keep front desk and lobby area clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for making room reservations and checking guests in and out of the Hotel as needed.
• Issues room keys, Pamphlets, discount cards, etc as needed.
• Provides information to guests by answering inquiries regarding hotel and other services guests may require, such as entertainment, shopping, business, and travel.
• Ensures confidentiality, security and safety of hotel guests regarding Front Desk communications at all times
• Arranges transportation for guests as needed.
• Compute bills, post charges, collects payment and makes change for guests.
• Runs various reports - hand written and computer.
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and lobby area.
• Must wear a uniform up to property standards and nametag at all times on property.
• Balance all daily reports for the Hotel.
• Post and balance charges in a timely and efficient manner.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Must have strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management system(s).
• Ability to quickly learn front desk technical procedures, such as: check-in, check-out, selling skills, computer operations, telephone operations, etc.
• Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with the general public, employees, co-workers and with all levels of management.
• Basic knowledge of accounting operations
• 18 years or older.
