Job summary

YMCA of the Roses in Spring Grove is seeking a Part-Time Welcome Desk Associate to warmly greet members and guests, answer questions, and promote memberships and programs. This role emphasizes customer service and creating a welcoming first impression at the YMCA.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; CPR/AED and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish ability is a plus.
• Six months experience in service-oriented or sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a team.
• Must obtain Criminal background check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Adult and Pediatric CPR, first aid and AED.
• Complete Listen First training within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist members and guests; answer questions and provide information.
• Promote memberships and programs; sell memberships and services.
• Maintain welcoming first impression and professional appearance.
• Ensure proper check-in using Y Key Fob and account photo matching.
• Support desk operations: opening/closing, security, and merchandise handling.
• Conduct tours of the YMCA for prospective members and keep desk area clean.
