Job summary

Englewood Health seeks a full-time Medical Assistant/Receptionist in Closter to support the Internal Medicine department. Under supervision, you will interview patients, collect demographics, and handle front-desk duties to ensure smooth flow and accurate registration.

Requirements include a high school diploma or 5 years MA/PCT experience, CPR certification, and CMA/RMA/PCT credentials. Completion of an accredited MA/PCT program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent or 5 years of Medical Assistant/PCT experience.
• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT).
• Certification required for injection administration and medication documentation/handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of primary health and patient care management.
• Interview patients and representatives to obtain personal, demographic, and financial information.
• Perform routine clerical tasks: answering telephones, greeting the public, data processing, data entry, and registration records.
• Support patient flow from waiting area to exam rooms and prepare patients for the physician’s time.
• Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems preferred.
