Job summary

Four Seasons Puerto Rico is seeking an Assistant Front Desk Manager who shares a passion for hospitality and delivering exemplary guest experiences. This role leads the Front Office team, manages arrivals and departures, and ensures guest satisfaction with warmth and professionalism.

Based in Puerto Rico, you will oversee staff, handle guest inquiries, and uphold Four Seasons standards while collaborating with other hotel departments to create memorable stays.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience in Rooms Division.
• Strong knowledge of front desk procedures and guest service standards.
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to be present in the operation, recognize staff, and resolve guest concerns or special requests.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Manager on Duty aspects of the Front Desk operation.
• Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.
• Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements for all guests. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved.
• Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups.
• Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follows up on credit problems with Front Desk Manager and/or Credit Manager. Reviews all paid-outs, rebates, Checks cashiers’ work at end of shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and endorsements.
• Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services and hours of operations.
