Job summary

The Historic Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection in Spokane, WA seeks a Front Desk Manager to lead the front desk team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will be the first point of contact, driving efficiency, service quality, and seamless check-in/check-out processes in a historic luxury setting.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, handling guest inquiries, coordinating with departments, and maximizing room revenue.

Qualifications

• 2 years of prior departmental management experience in front office or related disciplines.
• Strong time management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead and manage each department function independently.
• Ability to manage according to employment and Innkeeper laws of the jurisdiction.
• Prior cash handling experience is necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Computer experience required; proficient in Opera PMS, Micros, Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring efficient and smooth processes.
• Train, mentor, and motivate front desk staff to deliver outstanding service.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and manage reservations.
• Monitor and maintain front desk procedures, including check-in/check-out processes and reservation management.
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance and guest satisfaction.
• Manage room inventory and maximize revenue through effective room management strategies.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to front desk team members.
