Job summary

The Historic Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection in Spokane, WA is seeking a seasoned Event Planning Manager to coordinate all facets of events from planning to execution, ensuring unforgettable guest experiences. You will act as the liaison between clients and the hotel sales team, guiding event direction and supervision throughout, and providing on-site problem solving and alternatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 1-year food and beverage experience.
• Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft office
• Present a professional appearance and confidence
• Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members
• Strong time management skills, and ability to work under pressure
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events from initial planning to execution to ensure unforgettable guest experiences.
• Serve as liaison between customer and hotel sales to provide direction and supervision during execution of meeting and banquet functions or events.
• Be available to customers during events to solve problems and suggest alternatives to arrangements.
• Directly serve group and catering customers in a proactive manner, working with logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space, and billing processes.
