Job summary

The Historic Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection in Spokane, WA is seeking a Front Desk Manager to lead our front desk team and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

As the first point of contact, you will oversee daily operations, train staff, handle inquiries, and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless stays.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of front office management, strong communication, and proficiency with Opera PMS, Micros, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 2 years prior departmental management experience in front office or related disciplines.
• Strong time management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead each department discipline independently.
• Knowledge of employment laws and Innkeeper laws of the jurisdiction.
• Prior cash handling experience.
• Excellent communication with guests and team members.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Proficient with Opera PMS, Micros, Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring efficient and smooth processes
• Train, mentor, and motivate front desk staff to deliver outstanding service
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences; monitor and maintain front desk procedures, including check-in/check-out processes and reservation management
• Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance and guest satisfaction
• Manage room inventory and maximize revenue through effective room management strategies
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to front desk team members
