Job summary

The Historic Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection, in Spokane, WA seeks an Event Planning Manager to oversee all facets of event planning and execution. You will coordinate with the hotel sales team, supervise meeting and banquet functions, and stay available during events to resolve issues and offer alternatives to guests.

You will lead group room blocks, food and beverage logistics, and billing processes while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 1-year food and beverage experience.
• Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Present a professional appearance and confidence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members.
• Strong time management skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events from planning to execution.
• Act as liaison between customer and hotel sales to provide direction during events.
• Be available during events to solve problems and suggest alternatives.
• Directly serve group and catering customers, managing group room blocks, F&B, and billing.
