Overview
Join to apply for the Front Desk Manager role at A Hiring Company. This is a second shift position with a $21.00/hr rate and 5 hours guaranteed overtime at $33.00/hour (approx. $54,340/year). Location: Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel, Indianapolis/Speedway area.
Major Functions include supervising the front desk team to ensure guest satisfaction, maintaining standards, training, morale, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the front desk by directing and supervising Guest Service Agents to ensure high guest satisfaction, employee morale, standards, training, and profit.
- Provide the highest quality service by working with Front Desk Agents to offer guidance; maintain and improve guest service and courtesy control programs; accountable for GSS scores and improvement.
- Manage guest problems or complaints professionally and hospitably.
- Adhere to company rules, procedures, and policies, including those in the Pyramid Global Guidebook; monitor compliance with PGH Policies and the Employee Conduct Policy.
- Ensure proper uniform and name tag, monitor Front Desk uniform standards, and maintain a clean, orderly Front Desk area.
- Maintain adequate Front Office supplies and knowledge of the Property Management System and downtime procedures.
- Coordinate weekly schedules based on occupancy forecast and provide productivity forecasts; schedule approved by Assistant Manager and posted weekly.
- Maintain knowledge of Guest Service Satisfaction scores; ensure scores are updated and explained to the team; respond to surveys as assigned.
- Resolve guest challenges to ensure 100% guest satisfaction; attend weekly staff meetings and coordinate with other department supervisors and managers as needed.
- Participate in hiring; complete associate reviews; interpret job specifications and assign duties; motivate employees; promote teamwork and morale.
- Provide ongoing training to Front Desk staff to increase knowledge and skills; conduct monthly department meetings; manage time cards, overtime, payroll inputs, and weekly progress reports.
- Ensure adherence to Front Desk credit policies; manage end-of-shift and period-end tasks; strive for optimal average rate and occupancy; ensure hotel balance and communication of discrepancies to management and bookkeeping.
- Prepare weekly forecasts and work schedules; know emergency procedures; promote safety and a safe working environment.
- Act as Manager on Duty and oversee hotel operations; understand maintenance and operating procedures of equipment; monitor budget adherence.
- Other duties as assigned.
