Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Farmington, CT is seeking a friendly Front Desk Representative to promote quality customer service, process registrations, and represent the brand positively as we grow our member base.

You will greet visitors, discuss membership options, answer calls and emails, assist with merchandise, and coordinate class schedules and private events. Prior customer service and basic computer skills are preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• At least one year of customer service or administrative office experience.
• Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Experience with in-person and phone sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and check students in the system.
• Discuss membership options and register new students.
• Answer calls and emails professionally and route inquiries.
• Assist with merchandise purchases and vending.
• Prepare student schedules for instructors and parties.
• Resolve customer concerns with a professional follow-up.
• Provide occasional admin support to management.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Representative promotes quality customer service, processes sales and registrations, and is responsible for representing the company in a positive image as they will lead in growing Goldfish Swim School’s member base.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets visitors and checks students in on the computer system.
• Discusses membership options with prospective families and register new students.
• Answers incoming phone calls and emails in a professional manner, direct inquiries and messages to the proper staff member.
• Assists members with purchases of merchandise and vending.
• Prepares student schedules for instructors and schedules private parties.
• Resolves customer concerns/complaints using a professional approach and follow-up.
• Provides occasional administrative support for management personnel, including the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
• Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• One year of previous customer service and/or administrative office experience.
• Intermediate computer skills required with knowledge using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• In-person and Phone Sales experience
