Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Farmington, CT is seeking a Front Desk Representative to promote excellent customer service, process sales and registrations, and uphold a positive company image as we grow our member base.

The role involves greeting families, handling inquiries, registering new students, and supporting management with administrative tasks. Includes paid training and opportunities for advancement within a fun, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service and/or admin office experience.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and check students in on the computer system.
• Discuss membership options with prospective families and register new students.
• Answer phone calls and emails professionally and route inquiries to staff.
• Assist members with merchandise purchases and vending.
• Prepare student schedules for instructors and private parties.
• Resolve customer concerns with professional follow-up.
• Provide admin support to management as needed.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Employer.

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Representative promotes quality customer service, processes sales and registrations, and is responsible for representing the company in a positive image as they will lead in growing Goldfish Swim School’s member base.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets visitors and checks students in on the computer system.
• Discusses membership options with prospective families and register new students.
• Answers incoming phone calls and emails in a professional manner, direct inquiries and messages to the proper staff member.
• Assists members with purchases of merchandise and vending.
• Prepares student schedules for instructors and schedules private parties.
• Resolves customer concerns/complaints using a professional approach and follow-up.
• Provides occasional administrative support for management personnel, including the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
• Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• One year of previous customer service and/or administrative office experience.
• Intermediate computer skills required with knowledge using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• In-person and Phone Sales experience
