Job summary

Denton MHMR in Denton, TX seeks a Consumer Services Representative (Backup Center Courier) to greet visitors, answer inquiries, perform data entry, and manage payments in a fast-paced clinical office.

Responsibilities include front desk duties, appointment scheduling, mail courier backup, and adherence to HIPAA. Occasional evening hours may apply; valid driver’s license required for courier duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year general office experience preferred.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets clients and guests as they enter the Center and schedules visits.
• Performs data entry and documents changes in MIS; maintains appointment records.
• Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Keeps cash box balanced and records payments; monitors cash handling and reconciliations.
• Complies with HIPAA and ensures clients read HIPAA notices.
• Prints/distributes forms and front desk reports; answers calls and routes them appropriately.
• Contacts staff when clients are out of compliance; may serve as backup mail courier.
• Serves as backup mail courier when needed, including mail route and deliveries.
• Participates in Zero Suicide Initiative and coordinates crisis-related referrals.
