Job summary

Together Women’s Health is opening a new location in Rochester Hills and seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to be the firstpoint of contact for patients. Training begins mid-December ahead of January opening, with on-site duties at the new clinic.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years front desk medical office experience, familiarity with EMR systems (Athena a plus), and strong customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of front office experience in a medical setting, OB/GYN preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
• Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow improvement.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, always ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
• Answer and route phone calls efficiently and respond to patient inquiries with empathy and accuracy.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider schedules, and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Verify insurance, collect copays and balance, and accurately enter patient information into the EMR.
• Monitor and maintain front desk supplies, patient paperwork, and waiting room cleanliness.
• Ensure all check-in and check-out processes are completed correctly and timely.
• Collaborate with medical assistants, billing, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Assist in training new front desk team members and serve as a point of contact for front desk support.
• Will cover team members during vacations or call ins.
• Help resolve patient concerns or elevate issues to the appropriate person when needed.
