Job summary

Yora Nordic Spa invites you to join the founding Front Desk team in Connecticut as a Front Desk Concierge. You will help welcome the first guests in November 2026, handling reservations, check-ins, departures and payments with warmth and professional service.

The Opportunity

The Front Desk Concierge will be part of Yora's founding Front Desk team, helping prepare the arrival, reception and retail experience that will welcome Yora Nordic Spa's first guests in November 2026. This role is anticipated to start between mid- and late October 2026.

As one of the first people each guest meets, the Front Desk Concierge combines accurate reservations, arrivals, departures and payments with genuine human connection. Every greeting, conversation, recommendation and thoughtful gesture helps make the Yora experience feel simple, welcoming and effortless.

What You Will Do

• Welcome every guest with warmth, confidence and genuine conversation.
• Create smooth arrival and departure experiences that reflect Yora's standards and values.
• Complete reservations, check-ins, check-outs and payment transactions accurately.
• Provide accurate information about hydrotherapy, wellness experiences, treatments, memberships, retail and Bistro offerings.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to questions with care and professionalism.
• Resolve routine guest concerns and appropriately elevate more complex situations.
• Support locker management, guest flow and wait-time expectations during busy periods.
• Keep reception, retail displays, waiting areas and Front Desk workstations clean, organized and ready for guests.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and protect guest information and confidentiality.
• Complete Front Desk opening, closing and shift checklists accurately and on time.
• Process cash and electronic payments accurately and follow established transaction procedures.
• Introduce guests to memberships, retail products, treatments, upgrades and promotions naturally through conversation.
• Communicate important guest information and operational updates clearly to teammates and leaders.
• Support teammates during busy periods and participate actively in training, coaching and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• Previous guest-service, wellness, retail, tourism or similar customer-facing experience is preferred.
• A genuine interest in creating welcoming and memorable guest experiences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfort using reservation, POS, payment and other technology systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and positive in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence discussing services, memberships and products and making thoughtful recommendations.
• Sound judgment and respect for guest privacy and confidential information.
• A reliable, collaborative and service-focused working style.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position that requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business and operational needs. Additional flexibility will be required during the pre-opening and opening periods.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This position works primarily indoors and requires a highly visible presence at the Front Desk, reception and retail areas, with regular movement throughout the spa and occasional work in outdoor areas. The role involves extended periods of standing and walking; periods of sitting and computer use; repetitive hand and finger movements associated with reservations, POS and payment processing; regular bending and reaching; climbing stairs; and lifting and carrying routine office, retail and guest-service materials. While moving through operational areas, employees may encounter changing temperatures, humidity, steam, moisture, outdoor weather conditions and wet or slippery surfaces. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
