Job summary

The Inn at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisconsin is seeking a Full-time Front Desk Attendant to deliver warm, efficient service and create a luxury experience for all guests. You’ll check guests in and out, answer questions about policies and local attractions, and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Strong communication, a 21+ age requirement, and a high school diploma with customer-service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
• Positive and upbeat personality with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with a friendly, efficient check-in and explain room rate, amenities and policies.
• Assist guests with check-out, balance accounts, and process payments.
• Balance cash, credit card, and checks at end of shift and handle transactions accurately.
• Respond promptly to guest concerns and coordinate with management for follow-up if needed.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance on room counts and special requests.

As our Full-time Front Desk Attendant, we’ll count on you to create an exceptional first impression and luxury experience for all our guests

What You’ll Do

• Provide guests with a friendly and efficient check-in confirming guest information, verifying room rate, selecting room, coding electronic keys, providing welcome packet, and providing directions to room.
• Provide detailed and accurate information in person or over the phone regarding hotel policies, services, amenities, and special promotions.
• Assist guests with check-out ensuring room and services are correctly accounted and process payments and post charges to guest accounts.
• Balance all cash, credit card, and check transactions at the end of each shift.
• Respond promptly to guest concerns or complaints and communicate outstanding issues that require additional monitoring or follow-up to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room counts, room status, maintenance issues, and special requests.

What It Takes

• Age requirement of 21+ required
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• Positive and upbeat personality
• Strong communication, multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work nonstandard hours including nights, weekends and holidays
