Job summary

PJ's at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, WI is seeking energetic bartenders with knowledge of contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine to join our friendly team.

You’ll greet guests, take orders, and craft drinks while providing top-notch service and maintaining bar cleanliness. Training will be provided, and you’ll help promote a positive environment at SentryWorld.

Qualifications

• 21+ age requirement
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Certification on responsible beverage service
• Bartender's license in process or obtained
• Excellent oral communication
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Greets guests, takes beverage orders, and prepares drinks as requested
• Provide outstanding customer service to all customers and promote a positive image of Sentry facilities
• Maintain knowledge of wine, beer, mixed drinks and other beverages
• Check IDs to verify age requirements for alcohol
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, equipment, and dining area
• Prepare and maintain garnishes for drinks
• Offer and service full restaurant menu at the bar
• Abide by state, federal, and corporate alcohol service rules
• Collect payments and balance receipts

Job description

Responsible for providing a positive and friendly bar experience. Prepares and provides mixed drinks, beer and wine offerings, as well as full dining service from the restaurant. Our friendly team at PJ's is looking to add energetic and experienced Bartenders with knowledge of contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine and we want you to join us. We'll provide the training you need and the positive environment you deserve.

What You'll Do

• Greets guest, takes beverage orders, and prepares drinks as requested.
• Provide outstanding customer service to all customers and promotes a positive image of Sentry facilities.
• Maintain a high-level of knowledge in wine, beer, mixed drink recipes, and other beverages.
• Check identification of guests to verify the age requirement for purchase of alcohol.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
• Prepare and maintain freshest garnishes for drinks.
• Offer and service the full restaurant menu to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.
• Abides by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Collects payments for beverages served and balance all receipts

What it Takes

• Age requirement of 21+ required
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain a certification on responsible beverage service.
• Have or be in the process of attaining a bartender's license
• Excellent oral communication skills required
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Strong communication and human relations skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
