Job summary

Pet Paradise in St. Augustine is seeking a Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our resort, greeting pet parents and their guests with warmth. The starting rate is $14.00 per hour with $0.50 increases at 6 months and on the annual anniversary.

This role offers opportunities for advancement through our leadership and training academies, plus generous pet-care benefits. This position requires physical activity such as walking dogs, assisting with check-in/out, and coordinating suites

Qualifications

• One to two years in a customer service role (Customer Service, Call Center, Receptionist)
• Detailed, but can work with a sense of urgency while providing exceptional customer service
• Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail, especially where documentation is concerned
• Enjoys problem solving in order to provide our guests and customers with a premier experience
• This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling, walking, and standing for long periods of time
• Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times

Responsibilities

• Welcoming pet parents and guests at resort entrance with a friendly demeanor
• Organizing and processing check-ins and check-outs
• Walking dogs for drop off and pickup and coordinating suite placement
• Answering phone calls, voicemails, and emails promptly
• Completing cashier and point of sale operations
• Communicating with pet parents and resort leadership as needed
• Maintaining cleanliness of entrance, lobby, and restrooms
• Assisting with cat room maintenance as required
• Liaising with veterinary service team for appointment status and arrivals
• Handling harnesses at check-in/out
• Setting up suites for each pet
• Being familiar with different types of harnesses
