Job summary

Pet Paradise in Florida is seeking a Resort Associate to care for our four‑legged guests. Starting rate is $14.00/hour with a $0.50 increase at 6 months and another $0.50 on the annual anniversary, highlighting pathways for advancement.

Qualifications

• This position requires a considerable amount of physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and maintenance of the suites.
• True passion for working with animals.
• Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team‑oriented attitude.
• Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
• Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with pets both inside the resort and outside in the play yards
• Following directions on feeding times, amounts, and type of food
• Maintaining cleanliness of suites and dog runs by disinfecting, washing floors, scrubbing walls and removing animal waste
• Emptying trash, mopping all floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom
• Monitoring and recording important information about our pets and reporting any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinarian services if applicable
• Using proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management
• Keeping dogs secure and maintaining a high standard of pet safety by following and adhering to the training policies
