Job summary

Playbook is seeking a Front Desk Associate for the Summer Street Squash Club in Boston, MA. You will greet members and guests, check in attendees, answer inquiries, and keep the reception area organized to create a welcoming experience.

This role supports court bookings, payments, and club events. Evening and weekend availability is required, with multiple shift options including weekdays and weekends. A customer-service mindset and reliable, professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, front desk, or other client-facing role.
• Experience in a fitness club, sports facility, recreation center, private club, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Familiarity with membership management systems and/or scheduling software strongly preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide Exceptional Member Service: Greet members, guests, and prospective members in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage Front Desk Operations: Answer phones, respond to emails, check members in, and maintain attendance records.
• Support Club Scheduling: Book/modify court reservations, lessons, clinics, and programs; assist with registrations.
• Process Payments and Transactions: Handle membership payments, retail purchases, guest fees, and other transactions accurately.
• Maintain a Clean and Organized Reception Area: Keep front desk and lobby neat and up-to-date.
• Communicate with Members and Staff: Relay information to coaches, management, and members.
• Support Club Events and Daily Operations: Assist with tournaments and events and collaborate with the club team.
