Job summary

Higher Ground, a cannabis dispensary in Baldwin Park, is hiring for a Front Desk role. You are the first point of contact, greeting customers, verifying IDs, managing check-in, and supporting dispensary operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.

The role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to learn California’s cannabis regulations. A flexible schedule including day, night, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk or customer service role.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain customer confidentiality.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
• Must pass a background check as required by California law.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer in a warm, friendly and professional first impression.
• Verify government-issued IDs to ensure customer meet the legal age requirement.
• Manage the flow of traffic, ensuring an organized and secure entry process.
• Address customer questions or direct them to the appropriate dispensary employee for further assistance.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
• Provide administrative support to the dispensary team, including handling paperwork or assisting with inventory.
• Work closely with security personnel to uphold dispensary safety protocols.
• Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations.
• Update Weedmaps, Yelp and company website
• Assist with stickering of inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.
