About the Role

Planet Fitness, a private equity-backed fitness retailer, is seeking candidates for the role of Front Desk Associate. The ideal candidate is friendly, courteous, and committed to delivering exceptional service, fostering positive customer satisfaction and loyalty while promoting Ignite Fitness Holdings-Planet Fitness Mission, Vision, and Values. The role requires balancing multiple tasks with a friendly demeanor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Welcome and farewell members in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
  2. Anticipate members' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all members.
  3. Provide courteous and efficient telephone service, answering calls promptly with complete and accurate information.
  4. Use strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve customer concerns effectively.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of the club for up to 50% of the shift.
  6. Deliver prompt, accurate customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Accept payments, give change and receipts.
  8. Promote products and promotions to drive revenue.
  9. Answer customer questions regarding business procedures and policies in a friendly manner.
Minimum Skills
  1. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  2. Strong work ethic with decision-making and problem resolution skills.
  3. Self-starter with initiative and minimal supervision.
  4. Flexible working schedule.
  5. Excellent customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
  6. Energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking.
  7. Physical ability to talk, hear, sit, stand, and handle objects, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. At least 18 years old.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Six months of face-to-face customer service experience in retail or one year in fitness preferred.
Hours

Initial training hours may vary. Availability should be discussed with the Hiring Manager or noted on the application. Typical hours include:

  • Monday: 3:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Thursday: 3:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Friday: 3:00pm - 9:00pm

Weekday and weekend hours are based on club needs, with open or flexible availability preferred.
