Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
• Perform injections, EKGs, lab draws, specimen collection, and other clinical duties within scope of practice.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure clinical areas are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Assist with medication reconciliation and prescription-related tasks.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, follow-up care, and clinical needs.
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other clinical office tasks as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and Coastal Health policies and procedures.
• Work closely with providers and other staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient care.
