Job description

The Marriott Renaissance Hotel is seeking a creative and skilled guest-focused front desk agent to join their team of fun-spirited team members! Our newly renovated 250+ room hotel, with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers. Must work evenings & weekends.

Our property is just a short drive from the world-famous Mall of America. Some of our features include a full-service modern American Restaurant concept, featuring creatively crafted interpretations of Food and Beverage made with a Minnesota twist. Other amenities include our indoor heated junior Olympic-sized pool, whirlpool, and 24-hour fitness center, as well as a recent complete remodel of the property with a local Minnesotan theme.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package consisting of EARLY PAY OR EARNED WAGE ACCESS, get paid before payday, pet discount program, identity theft protection, paid time off, wellness programs, excellent hotel discounts, and much more. The pay range is $17 to $17.50 based on experience!

This role has a $500 retention incentive: $250 on the 90th day of employment, and $250 to be paid on your first anniversary.

In your role, you'll warmly welcome our guests and provide exceptional service throughout their stay. You and the entire front desk team are dedicated to ensuring guest satisfaction by crafting remarkable and seamless experiences from when guests arrive. Your efforts will create unforgettable and unique memories that leave a lasting impression.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Deliver unparalleled service, courtesy, and care to our guests
  2. Respond promptly and effectively to guest questions and requests
  3. Streamline the check-in and check-out process for guests
  4. Answer incoming phone calls with promptness and professionalism
  5. Excel at multitasking in a dynamic environment
  6. Resolve guest concerns with attentive service recovery
Physical Demands:
  1. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 10 lbs.
  2. Primarily standing for the majority of the shift
Qualifications:
Education:
  1. High school diploma or its equivalent
Experience:
  1. One year of Front Desk experience in hotels preferred
  2. One year of experience working in customer service or a guest-facing role is required
  3. Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
  4. Previous experience with hotel PMS systems is a plus: OPERA.
