Job summary

Hyatt Place Columbia/Harbison is hiring a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, check them in/out, and manage reservations with attention to detail. You will handle inquiries, payments, and folios while ensuring a clean, welcoming lobby and accurate daily reporting.

The role requires strong customer service, professional phone etiquette, and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment. Hospitality experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow within the Hyatt team.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
• Experience with hotel reservation and property management systems is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
• Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
• Manage reservations and room availability. Opera PMS experience is a plus.
• Handle guest inquiries, room requests, and provide local information.
• Answer and direct phone calls professionally.
• Process payments, credit card transactions, and guest folios.
• Review daily reports and identify billing discrepancies.
• Prepare folios for departing guests.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the lobby area.
• Assist with breakfast service when needed.
• Follow all hotel policies and emergency procedures to ensure guest safety.
