Overview
The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions as listed in the Red Book.
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Obtain necessary information for reservations and follow rate-quoting procedures.
  • Handle check-ins and checkouts courteously and efficiently.
  • Use proper communication etiquette with staff using two-way radios.
  • Operate the front desk computer system proficiently.
  • Complete shift checklists and reports timely.
  • Balance and close out shift paperwork according to standards.
  • Maintain a clean work area and promote guest programs.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit boxes and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
  • Experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and friendly demeanor essential.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain regular attendance and professional appearance.
