Job Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
- Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room locations.
- Answer phones courteously and promptly.
- Upsell rooms to maximize hotel revenue where possible.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and in accordance with procedures.
- Manage guest safe-deposit boxes.
- Communicate guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
- Respond to guest complaints with appropriate service recovery gestures.
- Book guest reservations, process cancellations, and update information as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to promote teamwork and service quality.
- Perform additional duties such as guest room tours, concierge services, and handling special requests.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- At least one year of front desk/guest service experience.
- Fluent English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to stand frequently, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle objects and computer equipment.
- Proficiency in using property management and reservation systems.
- Strong communication, reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
