Base pay range

$16.50/hr - $16.50/hr

This is a full-time position with both 1st and 2nd shift hours. Weekend availability is required.

Summary

A successful Guest Care Associate must be friendly, energetic, accommodating, and courteous; properly greet guests and make them feel at home! Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to work well with many different personality types.

Guest Care Associates are responsible for carrying out day-to-day front desk activities, including reservations, room assignment, handling guest requests/inquiries, resolving complaints, and performing duties outlined in this job description or additional duties assigned by supervisors/managers.

Essential Functions
  • Deliver exceptional guest care during arrival, stay, and departure, including in-person, over the phone, and via email or chats.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel policies and services.
  • Advise guests on available activities such as swimming, tennis, basketball, and other sports.
  • Process advance registration payments.
  • Stock and check out guests in the Market.
  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests in a friendly manner.
  • Issue room keys and provide directions to guests.
  • Transmit and receive telephone messages.
  • Complete shift checklists.
  • Keep records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest folios.
  • Deposit valuables in the hotel safe or safe deposit box.
  • Arrange for special services upon guest request.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and stand or walk for up to 8 hours. Knowledge of hotel operating systems; FOSSE experience is strongly preferred.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED; six to nine months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
