The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities include answering guest inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc., and following all cash handling and credit policies.
Be familiar with all rates, packages, and special promotions listed in the Red Book, as well as all in-house groups.
Monitor closed out and restricted dates, obtain necessary reservation information, and follow rate-quoting scenarios.
Understand hospitality terminology, emergency procedures, and assist as needed.
Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient manner, using proper radio etiquette and operating relevant computer systems.
Complete shift duties, perform reports, and balance paperwork according to hotel standards.
Maintain a clean work area, assist with safe deposit boxes, and promote guest programs and promotions.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, computer skills, and preferred experience in hospitality or related fields.
Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor, effective communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Adhere to attendance, grooming, and safety standards, and demonstrate initiative and confidentiality.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
