Responsibilities include:

  1. Completing all activities listed in the Front Desk checklist.
  2. Performing marketing duties such as upselling to generate additional revenue.
  3. Providing excellent service and satisfaction to guests and visitors.
  4. Following security and liability measures to protect hotel assets.

Essential functions include:

  1. Maintaining professional appearance and conduct.
  2. Greeting guests warmly, maintaining eye contact, and responding to requests.
  3. Providing information about the hotel, rooms, rates, and amenities.
  4. Maximizing occupancy and revenue through operational and selling techniques.
  5. Completing registration, handling payments, and checking out guests.
  6. Verifying credit cards and handling cash accurately.
  7. Maintaining effective communication with hotel departments.
  8. Ensuring rooms are ready for check-in and check-out.
  9. Handling reservations and personalized guest experiences.
  10. Adhering to safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  11. Operating front office systems and responding professionally to calls and guest complaints.
  12. Working flexible hours as needed.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in English and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and handle stressful situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Six months of related experience or customer service training preferred.

Physical demands include:

  • Standing for long periods, repetitive use of arms and hands, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate in stressful situations and use vision effectively.
