Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is hiring a Receptionist for our inpatient Detox and Residential facility. You will handle clerical duties, greet visitors, route calls, manage mail, and maintain the reception area and supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, at least 1 year in the treatment industry, and strong communication skills with a commitment to confidentiality. Recovery-friendly candidates with sobriety may be preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety required.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard clerical duties (emailing, filing, photocopying, faxing, transcribing etc.).
• Greet, process, and direct visitors and answer questions from visitors/family.
• Monitor phones and voicemail; route calls and messages appropriately.
• Handle all incoming and outgoing mail and shipments (UPS/Amazon).
• Maintain reception area inventory and cleanliness; restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain pharmacy copay log and record payments.
• Perform administrative errands as necessary and other duties as assigned.
