Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring a receptionist for our inpatient detox and residential facility. You will handle clerical tasks, manage phones, and shipping, while maintaining a welcoming, organized front desk.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, strong communication, organization, and multitasking; a HS diploma is preferred, 1 year in treatment preferred, and sobriety if in recovery. Benefits include a comprehensive package.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard clerical duties (mail, emailing, filing, photocopying).
• Monitor phones and voicemail; route calls and messages.
• Handle incoming/outgoing mail and UPS/Amazon shipments.
• Maintain reception area inventory and cleanliness; restock supplies.
• Maintain pharmacy copay log and record payments.
• Perform errands and other duties as assigned.

Now hiring a receptionist for our inpatient detox and residential facility in Norfolk, VA!

Hours: 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday

What You'll Do

• Perform all standard clerical duties (emailing, filing, photocopying, faxing, transcribing etc.)
• Monitor phones and voicemail, and route all calls and messages appropriately
• Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, as well as all UPS and Amazon shipments
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of reception area, and re-stock office supplies as necessary
• Maintain pharmacy copay log and record all payments
• Perform administrative errands as necessary, and any other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma/ GED preferred
• Min. 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability at all times
