Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Café is seeking Prep Cooks in Boston, MA to prepare dishes from scratch with a focus on quality and hospitality. You will work as part of a team, follow prep lists, label and stock ingredients, and maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen, and must be willing to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Follow prep lists created by leadership to prepare dishes.
• Label and stock all cooking ingredients.
• Complete prep tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Wash, chop, and sort ingredients including fruits, vegetables, and meats.
• Measure quantities of seasonings and ingredients.
• Adhere to nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards; monitor inventory.
• Learn and execute cooking methods used in the kitchen.
• Ensure proper storage and easy access to food items.
• Monitor temperatures in storage and kitchen areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace; assist chefs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
