Job summary

Cogir USA is seeking a skilled Cook for our community restaurant to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, staff, and visitors. You will work under the culinary director, contributing to menus that include traditional comfort foods and global options, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a full-service kitchen, strong knife skills, and the ability to cook in large batches while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary School is a plus or equivalent experience.
• Food Handler Card and kitchen sanitation knowledge.
• 1+ year of experience in full-service kitchen.
• Ability to read and execute recipes.
• Experience with large-batch cooking.
• Experience in senior living/healthcare hospitality desirable.
• Flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following menus and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas; keep stations clean.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely service.
• Check and restock foods; adhere to health regulations.
• Assist in all kitchen operations as needed.
• Participate in trainings, including food handling and safety.
