Job summary

Responsibilities

• greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout
• process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• understand and operate the POS and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, and loyalty offers per policy
• manage cash handling limits and loss prevention
• abide by guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• report pricing discrepancies and follow store procedures for stamps, gift cards and coupons
• stay current with ads and promotions
• adhere to food safety regulations and safety protocols
• maintain equipment and report repairs
• create a welcoming environment and answer product questions across the store
• follow all laws and company guidelines
• work cooperatively in high-paced environments and handle conflicts professionally
• assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
• perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
