Kroger in Kokomo, IN is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to create outstanding customer experiences at the checkout. You will greet customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and support store operations.

You will handle cash, checks, EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers, follow safety guidelines, and help manage loss prevention while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. We value honesty, teamwork, and service-minded associates who can work in a fast-paced setting and assist

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to limits on cash shortages/overages and manage loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
