Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them in a welcoming, helpful manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system; handle cash, checks, credit/debit, coupons, and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss through accurate handling of transactions.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) as applicable.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Comply with food safety regulations and company safety policies; report unsafe conditions.
• Create an environment where customers feel valued by answering questions and assisting across departments.
