Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to deliver high-quality customer service, accurately itemize and total purchases, and help keep the sales floor clean and welcoming. You will operate electronic cash registers and POS devices, explain the Loyalty Rewards program, promote Change Round Up, restock as needed, and ensure a safe, organized shopping environment.

This role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions about store operations and products.
• Operate cash registers, process payments, and ensure accurate itemization.
• Explain Loyalty Rewards Program and help customers enroll.
• Promote Change Round Up to support store programs.
• Restock, merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
• Maintain cash wrap area and ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Perform housekeeping and safety tasks across assigned areas.
