Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a friendly cashier/merchandiser to deliver high-quality customer service and accurate checkout experiences. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the sales floor inviting and clean.

Responsibilities include greeting shoppers, operating POS systems, explaining Loyalty Rewards, stocking shelves, and maintaining safety and organization across the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Effective communication with diverse customers.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with store operations for a positive shopping experience.
• Operate POS systems and process payments accurately.
• Inform customers about Loyalty Rewards and help enroll.
• Promote Change Round Up to support GWH programs.
• Move merchandise to the sales floor and organize per planograms.
• Maintain a stocked, clean, and attractive sales floor with fresh, full merchandising.
• Maintain safety and security of associates, customers, and property.
• Perform janitorial tasks and general housekeeping as needed.
