Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Cashier to deliver high-quality customer service, process transactions accurately, and support merchandise presentation on the floor.

You will greet shoppers, operate POS, enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program, and help keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming. This role requires reliable transportation and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer basic questions about store operations, merchandise, and programs.
• Operate electronic cash registers and POS systems to process payments accurately.
• Inform customers about Loyalty Rewards Program and enroll when possible.
• Promote Change Round Up to support GWH's mission and services.
• Keep the sales floor stocked, clean, and organized per planograms.
