Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our store team. You will provide excellent customer service, handle meat products safely, and maintain freshness and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

You will receive, store, grind meats and rotate stock, assist customers with questions and special orders, and follow our Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with basic math/weights knowledge.
• Be dependable, reliable and willing to perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• General housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 90 lbs, plus operate equipment with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in the meat department.
• Receive, store, and process meats; rotate stock to prevent aging.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders; follow department programs (Clean as You Go; Fresh at 4).
• Maintain product knowledge and safe food handling procedures.
• Support team with daily tasks and ensure a positive, customer-focused environment.
