Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in California is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver high‑level customer service in a fast paced, friendly store.

You will receive, store, and grind meats, answer questions, and help customers find products while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. This hands‑on role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 90 lbs, and working a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math knowledge.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior; positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule that changes with the business, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Must stand up to 4 hours continuously and up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to lift/carry products up to 90 lbs. and use pallet jacks.
• Able to operate in a temperature-controlled area and perform general housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service to shoppers.
• Receive, store, and process meats; assist with preparation and display.
• Rotate and inspect meats to prevent aging and ensure freshness.
• Follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 procedures.
• Assist customers with questions and special requests.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and weights & measures regulations.
