Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Meat Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service while handling meat products with care. You will receive, store, and rotate meats, assist customers, and follow strict safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced store environment.

Key responsibilities include helping customers with orders, maintaining product knowledge, and adhering to the store's Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Dependable and reliable with ability to perform other duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor; positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours per shift; walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment and perform general housekeeping.
• Vision sufficient for using knives and/meat processing equipment.
• Ability to lift/carry 25–90 lbs., and move pallets up to 500 lbs. with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service in the Meat Department.
• Handle, store, and prepare meats; receive and rotate stock as needed.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and product locations.
• Follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs and safety guidelines.
• Adhere to all procedural guidelines of the Meat Department.
