Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our fast-paced store team. You will provide exceptional customer service, handle meat receiving, storage and grinding, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with questions, following safety procedures, and upholding the Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have basic math skills, weights and measures understanding.
• Dependable, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Follow safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 90 lbs.
• Able to operate a pallet jack and assist with loading/unloading.
• Good vision for handling knives, grinders and other tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in the Meat Clerk role.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; rotate stock to prevent aging.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs.
• Adhere to all Meat Department guidelines and safety rules.
