Fresh Value, Inc. is seeking a Produce Department Manager to oversee all operations of the produce department in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role focuses on delivering high-quality fruits and vegetables, exceptional customer service, and efficient team performance.

You will manage inventory, food safety compliance, and drive sales while leading a team to meet department goals in a well-stocked, attractive department.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a department team.
• Strong inventory and stock rotation skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance.
• Excellent customer service and product knowledge.
• Ability to create appealing displays and optimize merchandising.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily produce operations including receiving, inspecting, stocking, ordering and merchandising for freshness and displays.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, rotate stock and minimize waste.
• Train, schedule and supervise department staff to maintain a productive work environment.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints and provide product knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation standards (HACCP, FDA, local).
• Develop strategies to increase department sales and meet targets with promotions.
• Maintain high standards for quality, freshness and presentation of produce.
• Manage department budget, control labor costs, and optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with store management and other departments on goals and promotions.
