Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail produce team or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, FDA compliance).
• Ability to manage inventory, merchandising, and department budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily produce department operations including receiving, stocking, ordering, and merchandising to ensure freshness and displays.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, minimize waste, and maintain product quality.
• Train, schedule, and supervise department staff; foster a collaborative work environment.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product knowledge to enhance shopping experience.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance (HACCP, FDA, local health dept).
• Develop strategies to increase department sales and drive customer engagement through displays.
• Maintain high standards for produce quality and presentation in displays and storage areas.
• Manage department budget and labor costs to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with store management and other departments to align on goals and promotions.
